Onboarding Your Graphiant Edge

*Onboarding notes:

  • The methods described in this section provide sample settings.

  • The actual settings are determined by your network design and configurations.  

Device Onboarding Process: 

In the sidebar, select 'Maintain' and then select 'Device Lifecycle' from the dropdown.

This will take you to the Device Lifecycle page. Now select the 'Staging' tab, where you can see your newly appeared devices(s) that you would like to activate. 

  • If the device is ready and up – denoted by status "Up" in green 

  • If the device is not ready and down – denoted by status "Down" in red 

Note:

Both Up and Down devices can be onboarded.  After onboarding the device is ready & operationally available;  it will automatically update the status from Down to Up.

From the table, activate the Edge by doing one of the following:

  • Check the box next to the desired Edge and select 'Change Lifecycle State'.

OR

  • On the right-hand side, select the 3 dots, and from the dropdown, select ‘Change Lifecycle State'.A modal will appear to ensure the intent to activate the Edge.

Navigate to the 'Active Edges' tab to see the newly activated Edge(s). 

Upon successful Onboarding, the Edge is listed in the Active Edges table.

Your Graphiant Edge is now on-boarded and ready for configuration.

To configure your edge, select 'Configure' in the sidebar and select 'Devices' in the dropdown.

Now you are ready to begin configuring your Edge(s) as per the network settings and policies that meet your needs.
