This outlines requirements for a virtualized lab build, instructions for setup, and steps for validation testing.

This virtualized lab environment will be suitable for testing integration and technical capabilities of the Graphiant Service. Scale and throughput capabilities will not be covered.

The diagram below shows the connectivity of 3 PoPs comprising 6 total Graphiant Core Nodes, two servers that can provide up to 6 Graphiant Edges and 6 Linux Traffic Hosts, out of band management, and Graphiant connectivity for each component.

Lab Components and Requirements

Graphiant Edges on ESXi:

6 virtual servers running as Graphiant Edges representing customer sites within customer tenants.

  • ESXi Virtual Machine Requirements:

    • Intel x86 Processors

    • 8 vCPU

    • 8GB RAM

    • 8GB Storage

    • Virtual TPM

  • Software Requirements:

    • VMware ESXi 6.7+

    • Graphiant Virtual Edge Appliance – Provided by Graphiant

Virtualized Linux Traffic Hosts:

6 virtual servers running as traffic hosts representing customer end devices with a minimum of one per site.

  • ESXi Virtual Machine Requirements:

    • 2 vCPU

    • 2GB RAM

    • 8GB Storage

  • Software Requirements:

    • VMware ESXi 6.7+

Required Lab Services:

  • DHCP

  • Public Internet reachability for Cores Nodes and Edge devices.

6 Public IPs for Core Node Internet access.

  • Dynamic NAT capability for Internet access.
