What is AI Usage Dashboard?
Graphiant AI Usage Dashboard provides an executive-facing view that translates raw network telemetry into business-readable AI usage intelligence. It provides answers to executive(s) who is accountable for AI governance, budget, and risk. Such as:
Which AI platforms are employees sending company data to?
Which LAN segments and sites are using AI the most?
Are employees using unapproved AI tools (shadow AI)?
Is AI usage growing, and when does it peak?
Locating the AI Adoption Dashboard within the Graphiant Portal
From the Home screen, navigate to the AI Adoption Dashboard by clicking ‘AI Usage Dashboard’ under 'AI Command Center' in the sidebar.
This will take you to the AI Usage Dashboard.
AI Usage Dashboard is divided into four sections: What, where, when, and leaderboard.
The what section provides you insight into how many AI tools, users, usage (in MB) and estimated token from your network.
The where section provides you insight into where those AI traffic is sourced from.
The when section provides you an overview of the AI usage and estimated token trend over one year timeframe.
The Leaderboard provides you insight on top AI users based on tokens used and average daily usage. At the bottom of the leaderboard, it also provides you insight on how many apps are approved, blocked and in shadow.

Approving, Disapproving and Blocking AI apps
Since you have visibility of AI apps usage, you can approve, disapprove and block any particular app.
Approving AI Apps
There are couple ways to approve AI apps.
Option 1: Approve from Shadow Bubble
From the bottom of the AI Usage Dashboard, click on the ‘Shadow’ bubble.
It will take you to the AI bucket in DA dashboard. Decide on which app you want to approve, click on the three-dot menu on the right hand side and click ‘Approve’.
Once that AI app is approved, it will show up as ‘Approved’ under the AI Usage Dashboard
Option 2: Approve from the ‘Approved Apps’ Tab
From the AI Usage Dashboard, click on the ‘Approved Apps’ tab, it will take you to the ‘Approved Apps’ page, then click on ‘Add Application’

It will open the ‘Add to Approved Apps’ window. From here, you select the app that you want to approve, then click on ‘Add to Approved’
Disapproving AI Apps
To disapproving an AI app, click on ‘Approved App’ tab under ‘AI Usage Dashboard’. Find the app that you want to disapprove it, click on the three-dots menu and click on ‘Unapprove App’.
It will prompt you for confirmation. Click on ‘Unapprove App’ to confirm.
Blocking AI Apps
To block an AI app, you can block an app from ‘Shadow’ or ‘blocked’ bubble at the bottom of the ‘AI Usage Dashboard’. Click on the ‘Shadow’ or ‘blocked’ bubble.
It will take you to the ‘Application Details’ page. Find the AI app you want to block, click on the three-dots menu and click on ‘Block’.
It will take you to ‘Block Application’ page. Click on ‘Block only this application URL’.
It will take you to the ‘Configuration’ page. You can either add the app to an existing block list or create a new one.
Option 1: Adding AI App to an Existing Block List
To add an AI app to an existing block list. Select the block list you want to add the app to, then click on ‘Block’.
Option 2: Adding AI App to a New Block List
To add an AI app to a new block list, click on ‘Create New’. It opens up the ‘Create New Block List’ section. Fill in the ‘Protection Name’, select which site to block (or block ‘All Enterprise Sites’), select the lan-segment, then click on ‘Save Change’.
Once you click on ‘Save Change’, it closes the ‘Create New Block List’ configuration. Click on ‘Block’.
After clicking 'Block’, It will take you to ‘Application Details’ page, under ‘Blocked’ bucket. You will see all your blocked apps here and which policy is used to block which app.
