# Virtual Machine Formats for Graphiant Service

## VMware ESXi

- Version: Must support VMware ESXi 6.5 and higher
- The Graphiant service has VMware tools (or open-vm-tools) packaged in order to support VMXNET3.

## VirtIO Support

- Must support VirtIO. This becomes necessary when running on certain flavors of KVM.

## SR-IOV Support

- Must support SR-IOV. This will be particularly important for high performance environments especially when targeting deployment of Graphiant solution on Cisco CSP and Cisco ENCS platforms.

## OVF/OVA

- The Graphiant image must be made available in the open standard format

## OVF Template

- The Graphiant service image is accompanied with a template that provides guidance on small/medium/large instance deployments tied to specific CPU & Memory requirements along with Disk.

## Default Interface Count

The image is deployed with a set of default interfaces:

- One in a WAN VRF
- One in the management VRF
- One in a LAN VRF
